Carrie's Famous Queso

There are a few things in this life that I feel like I can boast confidently in and know that I'm not over-selling myself: wii bowling, Frisbee golf, the art of the perfect bubble bath, and my queso recipe. And today, I'm sharing my famous queso recipe. I call it famous because if anything was going to make me famous in life it would be this queso.

I can take full ownership of the recipe because I made it up all by myself with no help from Pinterest. I was sitting in my kitchen one day and thought, "huh, that sounds good to try". I've tweaked and perfected it over the years and now I'm going to share it with you. You are so welcome.

Ingredients:

1 Block of original Velveeta Cheese
1 Block of Cream Cheese (the good stuff not the less fat kind)
8 oz of your favorite salsa (you can use Rotel if you must)
1lb of ground beef
1 packet of taco seasoning
chili powder seasoning
Whole milk

Directions:

Brown your beef in a big, deep pan on the stovetop and prepare it with the taco seasoning. While that is cooking, blend your Rotel or chunky salsa to make it really smooth and add it to the taco meat. Cut your Velveeta and cream cheese into 1 inch chunks and add to the pot. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until creamy. If you want to transfer to your crock pot so it stays warmer longer, you can. I often do this for football games.

Enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips, top your tacos, eat it with a spoon.... whatever floats your boat... you won't be disappointed!!
