Even though I’ve cheated a wee bit for Christmas this year (in the name of pregnancy), we still managed to wait for our big traditions of Decking the Halls the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Kyle got all of the boxes out of the garage, and got started putting the lights on the outside while the kids and I started inside.
It was so, ahem, fun. Especially when Shepherd dropped the first ornament and broke it and stepped on it.
BUT, the important thing to remember is that we survived. And got most of the decor out. (I chose to not get out everything like my snow globes… Some things aren’t worth the risk of getting broken). And most importantly, the kids loved it and were SO excited. Especially my little Shepherd boy. He is the most excited of all.
We also continued our tradition of eating Pedro’s tamales and chips and queso for dinner. Overall, a really great weekend to start off the Christmas season.
Falalalala!
