Disney World {Day 6 &7}

On our last day at Disney World, we had to get our things ready to check out of our resort so we had a little bit of a later start than our other days. We made plans to share an off-property room with Cassie and her crew for our last night, so we packed up our things and headed that way.

For our final day, we were headed to Hollywood Studios. HS right now is under some major renovation projects so a lot of things are closed. The only reason we even chose to go was because it was the last year for the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights and I reeeeaaaallly wanted to go. It was something I was so sad to miss on our last trip and was a big priority this time.

When we finally got to the park, we had our first FastPass at the Frozen Singalong. I really didn't have high expectations for this, but I have to say.... I LOVED IT. It was so much fun! All of the kids liked it!

After that, we headed to Disney Junior Live! This was a favorite on our last trip and I knew the kids would love it again, and they did! It was also nice to have something to sit in the cool.

Next up was our last FastPass of the whole trip and it was one of our favorites... Toy Story Mania. Even with a FastPass there was still a little bit of a wait. We made the most of the wait and it was still well worth it!

After we left Toy Story we headed to Pizza Planet for lunch with my parents before they left. They had an earlier flight and had to leave a little early. Laura Kate, being exhausted from the week, completely fell apart when they left. It did no good to remind her that we now live in the same town as them. She was so so sad. Joel and Ashley and the boys left soon after to make their flight as well.

After eating and drying up some tears, we took a little break and headed to our new resort to rest a little bit. The resort was beautiful, even being off-site, and we were all able to take an afternoon nap before heading back for the night shows.

When we got back to the park, we ate at Min and Bill's Dockside Diner where I had my last gourmet mac 'n cheese of the trip: pulled pork mac 'n cheese. It was very good, but I think my favorite was the pot roast from the Friar's Nook on Day 2.

We ended up missing out on our chance to see Fantasmic just because of poor timing, so while Cassie and her crew went there, we took our scouts to see Muppets in 3D. It was funny, but a bit outdated.

Finally, finally, it was time to head to see the lights. Oh my goodness, was this a sight to see. It made our day at HS totally worth it! It was the best way to end our trip and usher in the Christmas Season!

We slowly made our way back to the van and said good-bye to Disney World.

Needless to say everyone was completely pooped! It's the first time these two have ever shared a bed with anyone in their life, and clearly they did just fine!

On our last morning,we made breakfast in the kitchen in our room and got some last snuggles in with the Thomas crew and then we packed up the van for a very uneventful trip home.

We were so very blessed for the opportunity for a return trip to Disney and it was absolutely wonderful. I hope we made memories that my children will remember for the rest of their lives!
